What it means on the road
A Stellplatz here is a motorhome pitch that a Gemeinde or a tourism body stands behind on its own website, not a private car park. Each state below has its own map and a page for every Stellplatz.

How this is counted
- Counted: the 472 Stellplätze in Germany on FreeCampMaps, grouped by the state (Land) they sit in.
- Each one is backed by the Gemeinde's or tourism body's own published page, found through OpenStreetMap or the German Tourism Knowledge Graph.
- Only the 7 states with a region page on FreeCampMaps are counted. Stellplätze in the other states are not on the map yet, so this is not a ranking of the whole of Germany.
