What it is like to arrive here.

Worth knowing before you drive out, because plenty of Italian sostas are free and this is not one of them.

This is an area di sosta, a stopover set aside for motorhomes, at Castelfranco Veneto. Città di Castelfranco Veneto (Provincia di Treviso) documents it, and the comune is the one that sets the rules on the ground. The record gives 8 piazzole, marked pitches. The address is Via Brenta, 2 - 31033 Castelfranco Veneto (TV) (area along via dell’Altopiano, “Quartiere Valsugana”).

Listed here: drinking water, a waste drain and an electric hook-up. Anything not on that list is simply not recorded, which is not the same as not there. Do not plan the water stop around what is missing here.

The posted limit is 48 hours. Italian comuni set this by ordinanza and they do enforce it in season, so treat it as the real number rather than a suggestion.

What the source actually says:

That comes from Città di Castelfranco Veneto (Provincia di Treviso)‘s page, which carried a last-updated date of 2025-10-07 when it was read on 2026-07-22. The sign at the entrance and the comune’s current word beat this page, every time: an ordinanza can be rewritten between one season and the next, and nobody sends us a copy.
