Free, and the ayuntamiento says so on its own page. This is a municipal área de autocaravanas, a motorhome stopover the town has set aside, at La Tejera, a la salida de Panes hacia Potes, carretera N-621 km 174-175, in the concejo of Peñamellera Baja.

Neither a capacity nor a stay limit is published for this one. Asturian áreas are mostly small, often under ten bays, so treat it as a stop rather than a base and read the sign at the entrance for the limit.

The council does not list what is on the ground here, so arrive self-sufficient: full water, empty tanks, and no assumption that there is a tap.

The council says the services are provided free of charge but does not list them, and it bans acampada libre across the whole concejo. This is the eastern gateway to the Picos de Europa.

Asturias is one of the comunidades autónomas that wrote the boundary into its own law: Decreto 61/2022 regulates áreas especiales de acogida de autocaravanas en tránsito as a class of tourism facility. What you may do on the street is still the ayuntamiento’s business through its ordenanza municipal, so use the área, keep everything inside the vehicle, and take the posted sign as the version that counts.
